Astrophotography
If you're at all interested in astronomy and astrophotography, we have
a larger list here.
Figure photography, nudes
The emphasis is on abstract art, personality, and/or expression of individual
perspectives that happen to employ nudity as a medium. You might have a
look at these quotes if you want
the philosophical viewpoint. Predominantly the subjects here are female.
I've looked diligently for suitable male examples, but found almost nothing.
Let me know if you have suggestions.
- Kristen
Ankiewicz - Nudes in a distorting mirror
- Marc OdleyUK
photographer specialising in glamour and artistic nudes
- Dale Austin -
Color and black & white figure studies, mostly in the studio
- Peter Balazsy - Very
good works using Polaroid. Peter gets around. He's also here,
and here, and here, and here.
- Elliott Burke
- Fine art abstract nudes. Not much on display here, but prints available
for sale.
- Hans de Roos - Fine art nudes
and portraits. Quirky, whimsical.
- Stewart
Dickson - Very abstract, computer manipulated images
- Ben Ellison - Mostly B&W fine-art
nudes, some scenics also, prints available for sale
- Robert Farber - "Photographie
Gallery" of the famous photographer and author of coffee table books.
Books, prints, and seminars conducted by Farber are available through this
site.
- Skai Fowler
- Very original idea: the artist has made double exposures of herself and
classic paintings so as to integrate herself into the scene
- Nina Glaser
- An essay in Urban Desires entitled
"From the Earth We Come" - arresting primordial images of mud-caked
nudes, with an essay by A. D. Coleman

Nudes in the Wilderness" - real stereoscopic images - a must-see

but (he says) it's been pulled on account of the CDA.
- Julia
Kay - Small collection in B & W. These are experiments with ideas and
techniques that happen to involve nudes.
- Edward L.
LaBane - Nudes in Southwestern landscapes. "The model is a subject
full of life and emotion which can express what it is to be human. My ultimate
goal is to create images that transcend the boundaries between the spirit
and the flesh." Edward is also at the Mythago
gallery.
- Samuel
Laundon - B/W and color. Male as well as female nudes.

the many moods that make up a whole person."

painterly effects, borderline glamor. Prints for sale.
- Michael
Ryals - Photographic Transformations - Nudes in landscapes, trees,
nets. "The women I paint and photograph become transformation liquids.
They morph into sculptured forms in digital light. The joy is always the
discovery of the divine accident in comedic proportions. They themselves
changed and know they are not the body. The soul then comes apparent to
the naked eye."
- Tony Ryan's Gallery - Tony
has spread his work over several sites, and is included in others. Try

rewarding art form". His pages show his own work as well as reviews
and samples of the work of others. Has some books too, plus brief reviews
of others.
